This Privacy Policy describes how Dr. Miami Clinic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal and health information when you use our website and weight loss services.
Because we facilitate medical services, we are committed to protecting your Protected Health Information (“PHI”) in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) and applicable state privacy laws.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Service:
- Identity and Contact Data: Name, date of birth, gender, email address, physical address, and telephone number.
- Medical and Health Information (PHI): Height, weight, body mass index (BMI), medical history, current medications, drug allergies, and photos for clinical evaluation.
- Payment Data: Credit/debit card information and billing address. Note: All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and usage data collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information collected to:
- Facilitate your medical consultation with independent, licensed healthcare providers.
- Manage your monthly subscription and process payments via Stripe.
- Communicate with you regarding your treatment plan, refills, and support.
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
3. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal or health information. We share your data only with the following parties to provide your care:
- MD Integrations: Our clinical technology partner. Your data is securely transmitted to the MD Integrations platform to allow clinicians to review your medical profile and issue prescriptions.
- Licensed Healthcare Providers: Independent clinicians who review your intake and manage your care.
- Pharmacies: Licensed pharmacies that dispense and ship your medication.
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who provide payment processing (Stripe), secure hosting, and communication tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data under Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) where applicable.
4. HIPAA & YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS
Your PHI is protected under HIPAA. You have the following rights regarding your health information:
- Access: You have the right to inspect and obtain a copy of your medical records.
- Amendment: You have the right to request a correction to your records if you believe they are inaccurate.
- Accounting of Disclosures: You have the right to request a list of certain disclosures we have made of your PHI.
- Restriction: You have the right to request a restriction on how we use or disclose your PHI for treatment or payment.
5. DATA SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption: Data is encrypted during transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest.
- Access Controls: Access to your PHI is limited to authorized medical personnel and care team members who require it to provide your treatment.
- HIPAA Compliance: Our clinical partner, MD Integrations, maintains a HIPAA-compliant environment for all medical data storage.
6. SMS & EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
By providing your phone number and email, you explicitly consent to receive communications from us and our clinical partners.
- SMS: You may receive text messages regarding your clinical status, refill reminders, or doctor messages. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt-out at any time by replying “STOP”.
- Email: We use email for account management and clinical updates.
7. CALIFORNIA & STATE-SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights regarding the “deletion” or “portability” of your personal data. However, please note that medical records are subject to specific state retention laws and may not be immediately deletable upon request.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
